William Robert (Bill) Yarbinitz, Sr.

YARBINITZ – William (Bill) Robert Sr., 85, formerly of Hollsopple, died July 3, 2021, at Allegheny Lutheran Home, Johnstown. Born Feb. 18, 1936 in Johnstown, son of Michael and Helen (Mucha) Yarbinitz. Preceded in death by parents, wife Patricia (Lux), son William Jr., and brothers Joseph and Bernard. Survived by daughter Cristy married to Lynn Hickey, granddaughters Brittany Yarbinitz and Kaitlyn Hickey, and great-grandchildren, Timothy, Makenzie, and Audrey. Also survived by brother’s-in-law and sister’s-in-law, Butch Lux, Lois Fockler, John and Shirley Lux, Richard and Deborah Hite. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Ferndale Sportsman, and Polish Falcons Nest 556 were he was a dedicated officer for many years. Bill, also known as Pap, will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time at his pool with family and friends, having many picnics and cookouts, taking pictures, picking a tune on his guitar, and tediously tending to his garden. You could also find him on the weekends at the Falcon’s working on memberships and enjoying a Bud Light. The family would like to give their thanks to the many wonderful staff members at Allegheny Lutheran Home who made him feel special and comfortable in his final years. No viewing at his request. Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass at 10 A.M. Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church Davidsville, Fr. Karl Koldziejski, officiating. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum.  A celebration of Bill’s life will be scheduled at the convenience of the family.
