About Us

A vision that lasts

George E. and Margaret E. Mason purchased the property from Joe and Fannie Miller and their business the former Joe Miller and Son Contractors and Builders, in June 1964. After doing extensive remodeling George had his first funeral service on July 20, 1964. George and Margaret worked very hard over the years to make the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. into what it is today. George E. Mason passed away on February 28, 2008 with 57 years of funeral service to Somerset County and surrounding areas.

Now over 50 years later his grandson Leslie Jay Holsopple is the Supervisor and Funeral Director. Leslie was raised in Hollsopple where he graduated from Conemaugh Township Area High School. He attended Penn State University and graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science on September 8, 2000.
