Byers: Esther L. (Stayrook) Szala, 85 of Hooversville died January 25, 2017 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital.  Born July 14, 1931 in Davidsville the daughter of Morton and Ruth (Miller) Stayrook.  Preceded in death by parents, first husband John Szala who died in 1968, second husband William H. Byers who died in 1981, and brothers Harold, Morton, Jr., Carmon, Luther, Spencer, and David.  Survived by these Siblings Miller (Vernabelle); IN, Eunice Hershberger; IN, Patricia Calloway; PA, and Maretta (Thomas) Hammitte; FL. Also survived by Sister-In-Laws Joanna Stayrook, Leah Stayrook and Grace Stayrook all of PA, and numerous Step children, Nieces and Nephews.  Esther had attended the former Hooversville United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed being with her friends of the Stoney Creek Commons.  Family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until time of Memorial Service at 2 P.M. on Saturday at Centennial United Methodist Church.  Rev Heidi Helsel officiating.  Inurnment at convenience of family at Blough Mennonite Cemetery.  Family asks donations be made to Otterbien United Methodist Church 600 Wilbur Road Stoystown, PA 15563 in Esther’s memory.  Arrangements by George E.
